Eden Autism Schalks Crossing Adult Day Center

The relationship between Eden Autism and Berkowsky and Associates, Inc. (BAI) began in 1991 through participation in their annual fundraisers. When the organization was ready to make facility changes and additions, Eden engaged BAI for both architecture and construction.

This Adult Day Center began with Eden leasing the 14,000 square-foot space in the Schalks Crossing Center plaza. What was previously a fitness space needed to be converted into offices, training rooms, and visitor rooms.

BAI conducted a feasibility and planning study for the fitout.

The final program includes a reception desk, common area, classrooms, arts and crafts room, hospitality training room, office skills training, a teaching kitchen, and support spaces

for staff. Existing restrooms remained in place.

Providing both design and construction, BAI was able to manage the project seamlessly in house.

The Adult Day Center is now one of many succsseful assets to Eden Autism and the programs they offer to continue supporting success for persons with disabilities.
