Misting Showers

This Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company entrusted Berkowsky and Associates, Inc. (BAI) to renovate existing laboratory spaces, install new misting showers, and enable new processes for the lab research team. The labs throughout the suite are designed and used at Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. BAI protected these surrounding occupied spaces from all demolition and construction taking place. Wall partitions, utilities, gypsum ceiling, and lighting were all removed.

Once the space was gutted, the construction team framed new walls, assembled the misting shower in place, ran all new utilities through the walls and ceilings, and installed new ductwork, gypsum, doors, frames, hardware, floors, finishes, lighting, and exhaust low wall returns. The air system was disconnected from a bag-in-bag-out filter that is located in the interstitial space and the lab can now be maintained as its own space.

BAI completed the project with custom ceiling soffits, relocated sprinkler heads, commissioned the new misting shower, and provided air balancing.
